Why is there no MiniPlayer off for kid videos? Since it’s illegal to collect user data from children, YouTube is required to turn this off.
YouTube is required to turn off the mini player for made kids videos in order to comply with FTC rules. The mini video player lets you browse all of a channel’s content without leaving the live stream or video you’re already watching. It’s now a lot easier to stay connected to your favorite live streams and videos when you browse Twitch: introducing the Mini Video Player. Picture in Picture allows you to watch videos in a floating window (always on top of other windows) so you can keep track of what you are watching while interacting with other sites or applications. Picture in Picture supports the video player on Youtube, Twitch, Mixer, Facebook and many other platforms and sites. You can toggle low latency on and off in this section. To do so, click the Settings icon on the bottom right corner of the video player, then click Advanced. As a viewer, you can disable low latency locally. We also support low latency on the Android Twitch mobile app, Android TV, Xbox One and PS4.
To enable the feature simply tap the pop-out icon* located on the bottom right corner of the video player or access it via the Settings cog.
